The Special Needs Circle are relaunching their support meetings in Derbyshire and the surrounding areas, and would like to invite parent/carers of children with any additional needs or SEND along to join them.
The Special Needs Circle East Midlands has been ran by a dedicated group of volunteers for the past 7 years, and gained their charity status in 2018, over the years they have held many successful projects and support sessions across the midlands.
They offer parent/carers support, advice, training, signposting, wellbeing sessions and informal cuppa, meets in local areas and Schools, along with activities and stay and plays for the children. They also have a wealth of knowledge of local SEND services and multiple links to other organisations/charities within the SEND community. They also have a very busy online support network though their social media platforms. All their sessions are ran by volunteers that are parent/carers themselves, which too have previously been in similar isolating and unsure situations like many parent/carers. Their aim is to fill the middle gap where parent/carers are left with little support.
A diagnosis is NOT needed to access their services, and they will support any parent/carer of a child/children with any additional needs or/and SEND of any age.
